Terms of Sale
These terms apply to every purchase from KeyQuay (https://keyquay.com). Please read them before you order. Last updated: 2 November 2026.
1. Who we are
KeyQuay is a trading name of KeyQuay LTD, a company registered in England and Wales under company number [COMPANY NUMBER], registered office: [REGISTERED OFFICE ADDRESS]. VAT: not VAT registered. E-mail: support@keyquay.com.
2. What we sell
We sell digital software licences (product keys) and related download information. Each product page states the product, the edition, the licence term (for example lifetime or 1 year), the number of devices, the region and languages where shown, and the system requirements. A licence key is delivered electronically; no physical goods are shipped.
Software is made by its publisher. KeyQuay is an independent reseller and is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, any software publisher unless this is stated expressly on the product page. Product and brand names are used only to describe the products. See About Our Licences.
Licences with a fixed term (for example 1 year) end automatically at the end of the term; they are never renewed or charged again automatically.
3. Prices, price reductions and payment
Prices are shown in pounds sterling, euro or US dollars and are final prices including VAT where VAT applies; there are no delivery or hidden charges. The price payable is the one shown at checkout before you confirm your order. Payment is taken by our payment providers (Stripe and PayPal) on their secure pages; we never see or store your full card details.
Where we show a crossed-out price next to a reduced price, the crossed-out price is the lowest price at which we offered the same product in the 30 days before the reduction, unless it is clearly labelled as the publisher's recommended retail price (RRP).
4. How the contract is made
You must be at least 18 years old to place an order.
The checkout shows a summary of your order. When you click the payment button you make an offer to buy with an obligation to pay. The contract is formed when we confirm your payment by e-mail. We may decline an order, for example if a product is unavailable, a pricing error is obvious, or the order fails our fraud checks; any payment taken is then refunded in full. The contract language is the language of the website you ordered in; we store your order and you can view it on your order page.
5. Delivery
We deliver the licence key to the e-mail address you provide and to your order page, normally within minutes of payment confirmation and in any event within 24 hours. Some orders are checked manually for security before delivery. See Delivery Information.
6. Your right to withdraw (cancel)
As a consumer you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract without giving a reason. For digital content not supplied on a tangible medium, the right to withdraw ends once delivery of the licence key has begun, provided you expressly requested immediate delivery and acknowledged that you lose your right to withdraw. You give this request and acknowledgement at checkout, and we confirm it in your order e-mail.
Until the key has been delivered you may withdraw and receive a full refund. To withdraw, use the “Withdraw from contract here” function (linked at the bottom of every page and on your order page), use the model withdrawal form on our Refunds page, or send us any clear statement by e-mail. We confirm receipt without delay on a durable medium and refund you within 14 days using the original payment method, free of charge.
7. If a licence does not work — your statutory rights
Digital content must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality. If it is not, you have legal rights (in the UK under the Consumer Rights Act 2015; in the EU under the national laws implementing Directive (EU) 2019/770), including to have it brought into conformity (for example a replacement key) or, if that is not possible, a price reduction or a full refund. Our Activation Guarantee is in addition to, and does not limit, these rights.
8. Your obligations
You must use the software in line with the publisher's licence terms. Each key may only be activated on the number of devices stated. Please keep your key safe and do not publish it.
9. Customer reviews
Only customers whose order has been delivered can write a review, using a personal link on their order page. We check every review before it is published, only to remove unlawful content, personal data, spam or reviews unrelated to the product. We publish positive and negative reviews alike, show the date and that the reviewer is a verified buyer, and we do not pay or give incentives for reviews. We may reply publicly to a review.
Some reviews on our website were written by customers of our previous shop. They are labelled with the name of that shop and their original date, are not shown as verified purchases on this website and are not included in the star rating we provide to search engines.
10. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your statutory rights as a consumer. We are not liable for losses that were not foreseeable when the contract was made, or for business losses where you buy as a consumer. For business customers our total liability for an order is limited to the price paid for it.
11. Business customers
If you buy for business purposes, sections 6 and 7 apply only to the extent required by law, and you may enter your company name and VAT number at checkout for an invoice.
12. Your customer account
You can order as a guest or open a free account. Keep your password confidential and tell us at once if you think someone else has used your account. You can close your account at any time by writing to support@keyquay.com; we keep order records for as long as the law requires (see our Privacy Policy).
13. Payment disputes and fraud prevention
To protect our customers we check orders for fraud. We may ask you to confirm your identity or payment before delivery, and we may cancel and refund an order that does not pass these checks. If you dispute a payment with your bank or payment provider (chargeback) for an order that was delivered as described, we will provide the order records to your bank and may refuse further orders until the matter is resolved. This does not affect your statutory rights; if something is wrong with your order, please contact us first so that we can put it right quickly.
14. Events outside our control
We are not responsible for delays caused by events outside our reasonable control (for example outages of payment providers, publisher activation servers or e-mail services). If such an event delays delivery by more than 24 hours, you may cancel your order and receive a full refund.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example when the law changes. The terms in force when you place your order apply to that order.
16. Other
If a court finds any part of these terms invalid, the rest remains in force. If we do not insist immediately on any of your obligations, we can still do so later. Only you and we have rights under this contract. We handle your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy.
17. Complaints and disputes
Please contact support@keyquay.com first; we aim to answer within one working day. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the UK or in the EU, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country and may bring proceedings in your local courts. The EU online dispute resolution (ODR) platform was discontinued in July 2025; we do not participate in an alternative dispute resolution scheme but will try to resolve every complaint directly.
